Black Shack

Here is a place to gather in the winter storm atop a white river of ice. Inside the hut, visitors are surrounded by wood logs to be used to fuel the flame for warmth. The sensory experience of the space is heightened by the texture and smell of cut wood, the crackle of burning logs, the heat of the embers and the framed view of the natural world beyond. This space is a destination, a place sheltered from the storm.
